ISIS-free countries cost travellers 20% more
Many popular holiday destinations have been hit hard by attacks from the group known as Islamic State and now it looks like we have to pay extra in the form of a 'Saftey Tax' if we want to travel to countries where there is a ‘less likely chance’ that ISIS will strike.
‘Safe’ or ‘low risk’ countries, such as Portugal, Spain and Thailand have seen a huge surge in visitors of late and as such, their rates have skyrocketed. As a result, accommodation is at a premium.
If you are unsure where you can safely holiday this summer, be sure and refer to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office before booking your trip.
