Luton Airport Plans 110 million redevelopment

London Luton Airport has announced, following record passenger numbers over the last year, they are going to transform the airport to the tune of £110 million.

Servicing over 13 million passengers in the last 12 months, London Luton Airport has seen a 17% increase in passenger numbers.

The planned expansion will see the airport’s annual capacity rise from 12-18 million passengers by 2020.

To compliment the transformation, junction 10a of the M1 motorway is to undergo a major improvement, allowing car commuters to the airport easier access.

In addition, £260 million plans were revealed recently to build a mass transit link between the airport and St Pancras Station, London – reducing journey times to a mere 22 minutes.
